Events
Universal Fighting System Events Page
Events are listed in order by event type. If you are interested in hosting a UFS event please contact us at events@jascogames.com or at 806-252-3404 for details. All UFS events require approval and must be submitted at least 3 weeks before the month the event is to take place in order to become officially sanctioned and receive prize support. This page will be updated at the beginning of each month. Please submit UFS events by e-mail for approval.
City Championships
Every year your city will be allowed to sign up for 2 City Championships, one in the spring and one in the fall. Sign up will be on a first come first serve basis, and sign up for each event will begin 3 months prior to the City Championship season. The City Championship seasons start on March 1st and again on September 1st of each year. A UFS certified judge is required to run this event.
Regional Events
Regional events are highly competitive, large scale events that encompass all 3 major formats of UFS as well as team’s events. A Regional event must allot 2 days of play, and at least 1 of the following tournament types: Legacy, Extended, Standard and Teams Standard. Regional events are limited to 1 event per territory per year. Tournament Organizers can apply to hold a regional event and will be accepted based on venue, player base, and overall capability to run the event. International Tournament Organizers may also apply to hold a Regional event anywhere in the world. Winners of a Regional event will be given a 1st round Bye at their countries National Tournament in addition to standard Regional prize support. Story Line Events
Storyline events are all new to the UFS world! Storyline events are very large tournaments for the Standard format that allow players to interact in the game with the character of their choice. Storyline events will influence future UFS events, cards, and characters based on the outcome of the tournament. Characters represented in the top 8 at one of these unique events will have their games video recorded, and written about by the Jasco Games writing staff. Each of the top 8 games will be posted in an epic and dramatic online tale. In addition to being able to read about your characters struggles and victories, the outcome of the games could change UFS in the future with injuries, new cards based on tournament results, and other interactive possibilities. Don’t miss out on this exciting new format!
Specialty Events
Sometimes events will come up that are not typical of the UFS event season. Events like invitational events, Promotional events, and campaign events, are just a few possibilities of events that stores and Tournament Organizers will have options to sign up for. These events will be advertised on the main page of JascoGames.com and to your local game stores.
Pro Tour Circuit Events
The Pro Tour Circuit (PTC) is for highly competitive players looking to advance their skills and become professionals at the UFS CCG. Winners of a PTC event will not only get great prize support, but a plane ticket to GenCon and a first round Bye in the UFS World Tournament. PTC events will be in the Standard format and will follow all rules, restrictions, and banned/errata lists that apply to that format. PTC Events are limmitted to 1 event per territory, per year. The United States PTC territories are located below.
National Championships
In a UFS National Championship, players compete to win their very own character card made in their likeness, to be playable in tournament play for future UFS events. Players may also compete in the Legacy and Extended formats to win either their own action card to be printed in future print runs, or a reprint of their favorite Legacy card. Top 8 qualifiers of a national event in UFS Standard, Extended, Legacy, or Teams Standard events will also be allotted a first round bye at the World Tournament at GenCon Indianapolis of that year. UFS World Championship
The UFS World Championship is the largest and most exciting UFS event that players can compete in. In a World Championship event, players compete against the best players from all over the world and test their skills to become the next UFS World Champion and receive a World Champion character card. World Championship events allow players to compete in the following formats: Standard, Extended, Legacy, and Teams Standard. In addition to these events, there are several side events and fun activities for all to take part in. Whether you are a hard core gamer, or more of a casual one, UFS Worlds will be fun for all!
